The past

 we could launch a ship with a telescope into space that would travel faster than the speed of light to record light that bounced off the earth in the past.  We would be able to solve many problems by seeing colnficts which lead to our current conflicts.  We should be able to solve the problem of the Fall of Man.  Also we would be able to use it if we have contact with aliens.
